The distinction that matters is private versus shared. A shared day tour costs $60–110 and puts you in a group of 12–40 with a fixed schedule. A private day tour costs $95–190 for two people and lets you set the departure time, which is usually the single biggest factor in whether a day works — the difference between Doi Suthep at 7am and Doi Suthep at 10am is the entire experience.

Most of our day tours are built around one thing done properly rather than four things done badly. A morning at the Grand Palace and Wat Pho is a better day than the same morning plus a floating market plus a gem factory. If you want to combine two, we will tell you honestly whether the timing works.
